In addition to the City of Donauwörth and LEW Wasserkraft, the planning and implementation of the pilot project involve the Mittlere Donau Kraftwerke AG (the owner of the Donauwörth hydroelectric power plant), the Technical University of Munich, the University of Innsbruck, the Swabian Fisheries Association, and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt with the Neuburg Institute for Floodplain Ecology.
